Abbotts Martin’s highly experienced team provides representation to individuals detained under the Mental Health Act and provides advice on all aspects of the individual’s rights under the Mental Health act. Our team consists of members of the Law Society’s Mental Health Accreditation Scheme who are able to represent individuals at Mental Health Tribunal and Hospital Managers hearings across the country. We are committed to upholding and asserting the rights of those subject to the Mental Health Act and skilfully advocating on behalf of those who no longer wish to be subject to the provisions of the Mental Health Act.
COURT OF PROTECTION
The team also provides legal assistance for individuals lacking mental capacity to make decisions relating to various important aspects of their life including:
- the medical treatment that they should receive
- contact restrictions
- issues relating to their finances and property
- Where they should live.
Our specialist team can also provide legal advice and assistance to individuals deprived of their liberty pursuant to the Mental Capacity Act 2005
